Thoughts on Bringing Back the Duel For A Civilized Society

Blanket Lies

by Jim Kopetz

We gaze our eyes,
upon a prize.
Kiss our sins,

Something Simple

A couple of weeks ago, a debate that I was having with Jeff Warzecha drew the interest of Jim Kopetz, and the latter asked me to start writing articles for preludetotheendoftheworld.com.  After reading a few articles, I agreed.  While I probably don't agree with everything Jim thinks or writes about, I respect his opinions, and find they raise questions on things people should be thinking about, but usually aren't.  They lead me to wonder what I should write about for my first contribution.

I thought, "Well, while the ideas Jim presents can often be considered controversial, I ought to play it a bit safer, on account of this being my first written piece for the site".  Caution is the best approach.

Therefore, I'm writing about why our inability to question the U.S. political backing of Israel is total bullshit.

AA and the "Guided" Ethos

by Jim Kopetz

Alcoholics Anonymous equates addiction with faith, not science. Is addiction a spiritual crisis, a biological condition, or as Doug Stanhope describes it, "simply liking things more than life"?
