Random Movie Review: The Queen of Versailles (2012)

y

"Would you rather be with an attractive guy, or a rich guy?"

Or how I learned to love the money.

The Queen of Versailles is a moratorium of the glamorous emptiness this country has become. "I feel bad. I've affected a lot of lives," says David Siegel. But his words are hollow and full of self-loathing for not being able to create his own Disneyland.

There is no humanity in this film, and that is precisely what makes it so special. It's a fascinating study of the stunted wealthy and what happens when the money is stripped away. Make no mistake, these people are gluttonous swine, but their appetite for gold exemplifies the rotten core of the powerful.

Overall I have to recommend the film on the pure audacity of it. But make no mistake about it. These people, these wretched souls; they are destroying our country. This is the prelude to the end of the world.

Don't even get me started on the lizard...

  1. The title should have been...The Origin Of Mediocrity!
Or maybe...Pigs in Love...or maybe...Greed Among the SOULESS!

Although by any other name, it would still reek of immorality, and major character flaws!

    They're an embarrassment!!
